Convert iTunes to MP3
Files purchased from iTunes Store are DRM protected , that means that you can play them only on specific devices and computers not on any random computer or portable media player.
The solution is to convert the media files into the more common digital audio encoding format known as MP3. The process depends on whether the files are DRM protected or not.
Converting Non-Protected Files
You can use iTunes to convert the non-protected files to MP3 format.
• Open the iTunes and move to ‘Edit>Preferences>Advanced>Importing’ and then change the ‘Import Using’ to ‘MP3 Encoder’.
• Save the settings.
• Go to the library and right-click on a music track and choose the option which reads ‘Convert Selection to MP3′.
Converting Protected Files
• Just burn the files to a compact disc as an audio CD.
• Use iTunes to access the audio CD and add the tracks to the library.
• Right click the media file and select “Convert Selection to MP3”.
• You can also use a CD Emulator to simulate a real CD burner instead of burning multiple CD-R discs.
