Internet Explorer Script Error
An Internet Explorer Script Error occurs when your web browser, in this case Internet Explorer has a difficulty running a script from a web site.
Usually these scripts will be in JavaScript, but they could also be JScript, or Visual Basic scripts.
There’s nothing you can do to solve the troubleshoot this errors because they are a result of something that the web developer (who implemented the script on the web page) did.
Disabling Internet Explorer Script Errors
Internet Explorer Script Errors can be a nuisance. If you don’t want to be advised about errors that you cant do anything about, you can disable these error messages this way:
1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Open the <Tools> menu
3. Select the & Internet Options> menu item
4. Open the <Advanced> tab
5. Check the box next to “Disable script debugging
6. Remove the check next to “Display a notification about every script error”
7. Click the <OK> button
Sometimes, you can do something about it…
Sometimes the error is something you can change or repair on your PC. These include:
Java Applets, Active scripting and blocked ActiveX controls. The causes for this can be the configuration of Internet Explorer, anti-virus programs, a PC or network firewall.
Your anti-virus software is configured to scan your Downloaded Program Files or Temporary Internet Files folders.
The relevant scripting engine on your computer is corrupt or outdated.
Internet-related folders on your computer are corrupt.
Your video card drivers are corrupt or outdated.
DirectX is corrupt or outdated on your computer.
